Innis Arden Master Suite Remodel

Phase 2 of the Innis Arden whole house remodel is complete. Phase 1 consisted of remodeling the lower floor complete with a new bathroom, guest room, offices, and theater room. The recent Phase 2 project consisted of remodeling the master suite. The design focused on opening up the views to the Puget Sound from the master bedroom, creating a more efficient walk-in closet, and developing a beautiful spa-like bathroom space. The bathroom is laid out with his and hers teak vanities, steam shower with built in bench, enclosed toilet room, and large soaking tub. High end plumbing fixtures were used for the bathroom including a ceiling mounted shower head for the shower and the laminar ceiling tub filler.

Capital Hill Addition and Remodel

Currently under construction:

We are working on a project in the Capital Hill neighborhood of Seattle.  The project involves digging out for a Smart Car garage under the front of the house and rebuilding the masonry front porch in the historic style of the home.  Secondly, we have designed a new kitchen addition to the rear of the house with a full basement below.  The construction process is tricky, working carefully around the two story load bearing masonry structure.
Keep watch for progress photos during the construction process!

Lake Forest Park Remodel

This chic, artsy remodel in Lake Forest Park was a fun project for H2D Architecture + Design.  The family had their eye on this foreclosed home for almost two years before they were finally able to close the deal.  The home had been vacant for quite a while, so lots of tender loving care was necessary to make the home comfortable.  The main focus of the project was to open up the main floor to create a great room and central kitchen.

Cabinets:  Ikea

Countertops: Cambria Quartz

Woodridge Whole House Remodel

H2D Architecture + Design’s most recently completed project is a whole house remodel in the Woodridge neighborhood of Bellevue.  The project began with the client’s vision to bring more light into the main floor and open

up the spaces to the backyard.  The design evolved into a wonderful open plan connecting the kitchen, dining, living, and recreation area.  All the spaces opened up to the backyard.  The kitchen was remodeled with new cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances.  White oak flooring was installed throughout the main floor.  The master suite was remodeled to include a bedroom with balcony overlooking the back yard, walk-in closet, and master bathroom.  The master bathroom includes a steam shower, new cabinetry, and Novustone countertops.

Bellevue Addition and Remodel

Wood joinery at new front porch and rear gazebo.

H2D Architecture + Design recently completed this major remodel and addition to a Bellevue home.  The family came to H2D with a vision of remodeling the master suite, fixing an existing leaky balcony, and creating an outdoor living area with a hot tub gazebo and large deck.  As construction began, the project grew to great proportions when the contractor discovered that a previous addition to the rear of the home was not connected to the existing house.  The result of this discovery was that the whole rear of the house needed to be removed due to the unsound existing construction.  Through some immediate, creative planning, the dilemma turned out to have some positive benefits.  The new rear addition allowed for a larger master suite, guest bedroom, office space, and guest bathroom, while maintaining the expansive outdoor living area and gazebo.
